What’s the difference between counselling and psychotherapy?

Counselling is usually shorter and focused on something specific: a decision, a transition, a communication snag. It can be a single session or up to about 7.

Psychotherapy is slower, explorative work on patterns that keep showing up and 12-24 sessions is a common minimum.

You don’t have to decide before we talk. We can discuss and figure out what your needs and interests are to explore during your free consult.
